The Heart and People behind Carpenter's Touch
The Carpenter's Touch is a Christ-centered nonprofit focused on individuals rebuilding their lives and the leaders who serve their communities. We walk with ex-addicts and inmates re-entering society, and we support leaders caring for others in their ministries.
Through recovery housing, mentorship, work opportunities, and practical resources, we create real pathways for people to move forward. We also partner with organizations and ministries to strengthen their leaders and expand the impact they have on their communities.
Our story is rooted in a 20-year legacy of compassion. What began with the founder's decades of restoring and supporting ministry leaders has now expanded as the next generation—shaped by the redemption stories of two brothers who overcame addiction and incarceration—has stepped in to carry that heart forward. Their journey, and the healing it brought to our family, is part of what fuels our mission today: restoring lives, renewing leaders, and creating opportunities for transformation.
The Carpenter's Touch was born out of a legacy of quiet generosity and Christ-centered compassion. For more than 20 years, the founder's father poured his time, resources, and faith into supporting ministry leaders with practical needs and helping individuals recovering from unhealthy lifestyles pursue stability and a deeper relationship with Jesus.
His impact stretched far beyond his immediate community—funding ministries, partnering with nonprofits, and supporting mission trips that preached the Gospel and helped thousands find freedom from addiction and spiritual bondage. His heart was to restore, to equip, and to give without expecting anything in return.
This heritage of service and compassion is the foundation upon which The Carpenter's Touch is built today.
Established as a Christ-centered ministry with a heart to support leaders, missionaries, and recovering individuals in need.
For 20 years, the founder's father invested in ministries, nonprofits, and global missions—supporting leaders, helping individuals find freedom in Christ, and providing work opportunities for inmates on work release through Rife Construction.
The next generation broadened the ministry's reach by strengthening mission partnerships and expanding into reentry support, housing pathways, and recovery-focused programs.
Expanded recovery and housing efforts, hosted ministry leaders for sabbatical rest, and continued building relationships for future transportation and partnership support.
Carpenter's Touch is growing our team, developing our first recovery home, and deepening the partnerships that help us serve with greater care and impact.
Carpenter's Touch exists to build people and communities, foreign and domestic, through the redeeming power of Jesus Christ so that individuals and leaders are equipped to live restored and purposeful lives.
We envision building partnerships and opportunities that restore individuals to stable, purposeful lives and renew leaders with strength and longevity. Through Christ-centered care, holistic support, and pathways to hope, we see communities and ministries thriving locally and globally.
We believe in the redeeming power of Jesus Christ and the authority of God's Word, choosing to live out its principles in how we love, serve, and relate to others.
We rely on the leading and empowering of the Holy Spirit above our own plans, seeking His guidance in every act of ministry and partnership.
We honor every person as made in the image of God and serve with compassion, mercy, and respect.
We give freely without expectation of receiving anything in return, stewarding every resource with integrity and faithfulness.
We equip individuals and leaders through discipleship, pathways, and community support—bearing burdens together and empowering growth.
We collaborate with ministries, nonprofits, and partners to build thriving, Christ-centered communities locally and globally.
