The Lord released these scriptures this month as His wisdom to us, His people, and then spoke prophetically concerning them as a key for us to hear Him in this time of much trouble and travail. There is so much that can be said concerning the wisdom that is within these scriptures, but it is my assignment just to convey what the Lord wanted to reveal to us as it applies to what we may be dealing with right now. The Lord said He is breathing new life into His word so the power and the manifestation of it will overcome every obstacle we may face. …The grass withereth, the flower fadeth : but the word of our God shall stand for ever. Isaiah 40:8
The wisdom of the World versus the wisdom of God and the spirit of Python.
The Lord began to reveal to me that much of what we are seeing demonstrated in the world and its system right now is the wisdom of the world in full operation versus the infinite wisdom of God. In I Corinthians, Paul wanted to emphasize the importance of the anointing and the power of the Holy Spirit in his own life and not his own abilities versus what seems to be right, intelligent or even reasonable in the eyes of man.
We know that judgment begins in the House of the Lord (I Peter 4:17). In too many instances, the Lord said the church has optioned to hear the reasonable, the intelligent and so-called right thing to do instead of God’s word (the truth) as it is rendered to us by His (rhema and logos) word.
The Lord said the dangerous thing is that there is so much deception riding upon a string of truth until it has affected, even polluted, the streams of well-intended individuals. But we must return to the word of God in order to properly discern who is talking. Is it the Lord? Or is it the arm of the flesh?
Even if it is God’s judgment that is being executed in our nation---it would never be executed without the foundation of His Love for His people, in that there would be resolve and a redemptive purpose along with a reformation of His sovereign purposes for the building up of His Kingdom. (This paragraph is my opinion.)
We must be careful when we declare why and what God is doing in what we may see within our own borders concerning some of the confusion and turmoil in the land. The Lord revealed to me that the Spirit of Python is in operation against His anointed in this season, and that we must be on guard with what we hear and what we believe others are saying in His name, as well as the plans of the enemy are in force to oppose the work of the kingdom in this hour.
But there is a coded and loaded key in this scripture that the Lord wants us to see. Even the princes of this world executed a plan of destruction, (to destroy Christ) but in the midst of that plan God prepared our victory. So despite the plans of destruction, deception, and undoing that the enemy is causing at this time, we must remember that the Lord God has ordained a greater plan of victory.
1 Corinthians 2: 4-11
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought : 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8 Which none of the princes of this world knew : for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written *, Eye hath not seen , nor *ear heard , neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

And it came to pass , as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying : The same followed Paul and us, and cried , saying , These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she *many days. But Paul, being grieved , turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
Understanding the Spirit of Python

You must read the 16th chapter of Acts to get a full understanding about the word Python and the word divination that it represents. Notice the strong’s concordance makes reference to this spirit. Its origin is found in mythology—the region where the oracle of Delphi was located.

Acts 16:16 in the Amplified Bible says, as we were on our way to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who was possessed by a spirit of divination [claiming to foretell future events and to discover hidden knowledge], and she brought her owners much gain by her fortunetelling. She kept following Paul and [the rest of] us, shouting loudly, These men are the servants of the Most High God! They announce to you the way of salvation! And she did this for many days. Then Paul, being sorely annoyed and worn out, turned and said to the spirit within her, I charge you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her! And it came out that very moment. The King James Bible says it came out the same hour.
Python as demonstrated above is referred to in Acts as a spirit of divination. We know python as a powerful snake that constricts and squeezes its prey to death slowly. Just like the snake, the spirit of Python gets around its victim, which can be a person, family, church or area, and he slowly squeezes the life out of them. This spirit works today just as it did against Paul in Acts 16:16 in Macedonia. When you pray to possess the land for God, the spirit of divination (python) begins to fight against you. His manifestations may be weariness, fatigue, confusion and frustration. His actions in churches, ministry, finances or your home are felt as he begins to tighten his grip on people. People leave their circumstances because he manifests heaviness, depression, oppression, and pressure. When the constriction gets stronger, the result is discouragement, factions and divisions. Other spirits that work with python are beguiling spirits, seducing spirits, Jezebel spirits, controlling spirits and manipulating spirits. We can and must break their power in the Name of Jesus. If you have never exercised the authority of the Name of Jesus, you need to pray for God to give you a spirit of boldness. When you battle the enemy, you must use your weapons of the Blood of Jesus, the Word of God, and in the authority of the Name of Jesus. There must be no fear but you must be bold. The ruling spirit of Python will many times hide behind other demons but he is controlling their actions. Generals in an army don't expose themselves.
Divination means using witchcraft to try to discover future events or cause future events to happen by supernatural means. When you see the spirit of divination (python) operating, you will also see false prophesying, and a profit motive. Money will be attached just as it was in Acts:16:16. Look for financial problems. Python prevents business deals from closing favourably or he prevents sales from occurring. Church finances may dry up or constrict, trying to choke the church. We must learn to differentiate fiction from fact and unreality from reality because the difference between the truth and a falsehood can be very subtle.
When python is operating, look for heaviness, sorrow, depression and oppression. There will be manipulation involved and people will not be completely open to correction. They will try to control every situation. Customs and traditions may be strong and have to be torn down. Visions and creativity will be choked. Python will cause people to become fearful, weak and weary. People will start questioning their own vision, position and calling. He tries to squeeze out of you everything God has called you to do.
The ruling spirit of Python will many times hide behind other demons but he is controlling their actions. Generals in an army don't expose themselves. Python usually has several spirits closely aligned that he controls. There is often found Beguiling spirits. To beguile means to deceive, allure, and entice. They work to cause division in the body of Christ. They often use charm and charisma to cause diversion. They try to pull you away from Jesus and the leaders God places over you. They pull you from one church to another church. There may be Seducing spirits such as those that draw a person to a cultist. The cultist may be operating under seducing spirits that draws people. Seducing spirits use lust, greed and pride to lead people astray.
Such spirits influence individuals in a church to bring about false worship and hurt the church. A Jezebel spirit in another person can make you fell drained when you are around them. When Python is operating look for a spirit of Grief to try to get a foothold. He always tries to bring spirits of Bitterness, Sorrow, and Disappointments so that you end up feeling like everything is falling apart. Encourage yourself in prayer and begin to pull them down. Don't complain but express your love to God. Worship God and pray in the Spirit. Remember Python wants to create confusion, so you will allow doubt to manifest in your mind.
Become involved in as much praise and worship as you can to maintain the victory. Remember who you are battling against. It is not flesh and blood. Stay in prayer as much as you can and remain obedient to God and His Word. Become accountable to a church and pastor.

These were keys that were provided to me in intercession in combating and uncovering this enemy.
- Remember, the serpent in Genesis was a beguiling one: seeking to convince Eve that God said something that He didn’t say and twisting even the intend of God’s word.
- This spirit will use religious traditions, the law, and self-righteousness to control/restrict and manipulate people within the church.
- Because idolatry, deception, and divination are the foundation of this spirit ---watch false doctrine and even the refusal to respect Godly authority. Read 2 Corinthians 10. Utilize these scriptures over the enemy. “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (vs. 5)” Watch mind control.
- The assignment of this enemy is to break down God’s plans and purposes by attacking various individuals and trying to cause confusion/strife amongst the group that is moving forward to accomplish the work of God. (Undermining leadership, rebellion).
- A python is known to lay eggs in many places—when in intercession, and while breaking its power ---tread upon the enemy’s territory and destroy the eggs as well. God has given us the “power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19).
- Isaiah 59 gives a lot of insight into the serpent’s mindset and activity. There are also keys to destroy his lair (den). The word cockatrice means poisonous snake or adder. Strong’s 06848 Hebrew word: Tsepha. (read also Proverbs 23:23-33, Isaiah 11:6-12, Jeremiah chapter 8 for even greater insight on how to combat this spirit).
- Remember, this enemy feeds upon fear—Utilize the sword of the spirit which is the word of God to deal with the lies/deception coming out of the mouth of this enemy. Hebrews 4:12 Pray also for strong discernment.

For, now I have set my plans in order, and I have prepared my strategies. For as the days ahead unfold, you will see sporadic attacks from the enemy. Including everything from plots of terrorism upon my people, Israel, to the warnings/uncovering of plots within your own borders. It is the demonic activity that has stepped up to unleash fear and add to the frustration of economic pressures that my people are currently experiencing.
But, know that even in the midst of all that is occurring and all the uncertainty that the hour is revealing, I have prepared a plan within a plan for your victory, saith the Lord. For in this time, you will see and know your enemy as he approaches, and much of what he will try to implement he will not be able to accomplish; for I am opening the eyes and ears of my watchmen and intercessors, and I am sending down my angelic host to protect my people. Much of this activity will be quelled and spoiled by fervent prayer; and the cries of my people for deliverance are being heard at this very hour.
For much of the power and ability of this enemy lies within the fear of those who are under attack. You must walk out your faith (of what you know to be true according to my word) and you will not fail. Know that much of the battle that you are facing is a psychological one. Don’t be ignorant of his devices, and don’t allow your words to hinder your progress.
I say to you today, “Rise up in the strength of your Father. Rise up and take that which I have placed in you, and walk in the power of my Spirit and my anointing that I have given before the foundation of the world. Walk in the power which I have placed in your mouth to speak, command, and decree; and let my word cut off every work that the enemy is trying to challenge and confront you with now.” For I am shifting things in this season, and know that they that “do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. (Dan. 11:32)” I have placed in you the authority that you need to rule, to reign, to run, and to win. But you must have clear intentions and pure motives; your walk must be a holy walk and you must have with me a personal (fellowship) communion before my presence.
So don’t allow the challenges of the day to cause you to faint and lose hope, for I am releasing the strategies of Kings and Priests which will continue to build, accomplish, and establish Kingdom priorities and that will carry answers to the dilemmas that your land is now facing. This month marks a special time of my renewed strength and glory coming upon my people to go forth and execute all the work that must be done now upon the land. In this month, you will see power struggles within our own borders even within your government, and there will be some astonishing results that will take place now. Even within the midst of turmoil, I will be setting the stage for order and a changing of the guard that will work according to my plan and not what the world system is dictating. And what the enemy tried to set for evil—I shall turn around for good. So judge nothing before the time, for I am changing and removing the false foundations that have been established by men and I am setting in order the fulfillment of my covenant.
And I shall loose the loins of kings, and there will also be a shifting of the wealth in this nation. And those who have put their trust in mammon will receive more uncertainty. But those who have put their trust in me shall see a new wellspring of resources coming forth now. For I have made room for you (Rehoboth – Gen. 26:22), and in this well of resources shall come forth a divine supply that will sustain you in the days ahead. So stay before me. Wait. Watch. Fast and pray. For, you will see the beginning of things now that will witness to you small victories. And these victories will lead to greater victories and you will possess your possession in the land with a greater dominion that will be apparent even before you in the presence of your enemies. So rise up and “quit ye like men” (I Cor. 16: 13), for the victory of my power will be made manifest in you as you walk it out and follow me in this hour, says the Lord. |
