PRINTER FRIENDLY VERSION
I found myself waiting upon the Lord in the usual manner that He reveals The Word of the Lord each month to me. In that process, I thought about a principle that I have taught in times past.
It is important to know the way that the Lord speaks to us, and that we must not allow ourselves to become “fixed upon” only one particular way. We must remember that God can speak to us directly (in a still small voice), in His word through certain Scriptures, in dreams and visions, angelic visitations and many other ways.
Jesus walked upon the water in Matthew chapter 14:25-29 during the 4th watch and the disciples saw Him. It was another way that Jesus revealed himself to them. But they feared Him (not recognizing Him). They were in the midst of the sea tossed with waves and the wind was contrary. Jesus spoke to them assuring them it was Him. But Peter answered Jesus and said Lord, if it is you, bid me to come unto you on the water.
We must make sure that we don’t become so familiar with how the Lord approaches and deals with us, that when He reveals himself differently we don’t know Him or we react in fear. I feel that this is very significant in this very month. Because we can be waiting on Him in one place and one way, but He might reveal himself to us in a different way.
They were in the boat in the midst of the sea and the winds were contrary, and out of nowhere here comes Jesus. At a time that hadn’t been anticipated and at a place when they least expected. Don’t allow the circumstances around you to get you off focus—wait on Him and allow Him to reveal Himself to you in whatever fashion He pleases. Everything that the Lord does has purpose—it speaks volumes and has great depth of understanding.
So what is the Lord saying concerning this month of June? Here we are almost at half time in the year 2009. God is definitely up to setting our lives in order and preparing us for great things. Sometimes in the midst of upheaval, change and even uncertainty, we say to ourselves ‘it does look like God is helping us get things in order’. Look back at any renovation and everything that must be changed---looks it’s worse before it is improved.
This month, the Lord gave me scriptures that I felt were very important, so I will share with you the way---He shared them with me. A key word that the Lord spoke was that this was a time of Dominion. Something the Lord said to me concerning dominion was that in Genesis where God blesses man and says to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, and subdue it and have dominion---that receiving His blessings has everything to do with the journey that we take throughout our lives concerning those five areas.
No matter who we are, or what level we are on, we will deal with those areas in our lives forever. The degree that we mature, understand, and operate in these areas---will have everything to do with our ability to exercise authority and dominion. So our having dominion has to do with what we will be able to accomplish concerning fruitful areas of life, the multiplication process operating in our lives, and the willingness to replenish the earth (replenish means abundance, to consecrate, accomplish). And the degree that we are able to subdue the issues in this earth, on this earth and subdue (bring into subjection) the areas of our own lives will greatly determine our ability to rule, reign, prevail over, and set in order what he has placed in our hands.
These things will not be accomplished in the efforts of our own abilities but in the One who made us in His image, and the image of God that has created us, blessed us, and then gave us the command to do these things. The more we identify with Him and His blessing and the more we through prayer and relationship unfold these truths to us. We change as a result of whose we are rather than who we are. We become willing participants of His mercy and grace, who leads us and guides us into greater levels of truth. It is important to know that He is taking us and turning our failures into success as we hear Him, obey Him, and make the necessary adjustments.
There is a distinct relationship with Apostolic order and taking dominion this month. Intercessors, please pray and push in the spirit that Apostles will break forth, break through, and break bondages during this time. Apostles carry key anointings!!! As apostles come forth, so will the rest of leadership align and do great exploits!!
Significant Scriptures:
1. Continue to glean in the field of the Lord, no matter what. It is important for the body of Christ to focus on the harvest of souls coming into the kingdom---this is an important mandate. We were brought forth in this end time harvest for the building of the Kingdom. We must be kingdom-minded and become an active part of this harvest. No matter who has gone before you, there is always more to glean, it has been left specifically for you. Gather and work amongst the others because the Lord is preparing your blessings and He is going to provide for you as you glean, for the Lord is your near kinsmen. Ruth 2: 20-23.
2. We are living in a time where our actions take on quick consequences. Refusal and avoidance adds fuel to the fire. The day is coming where God’s righteous judgment is coming to pass. He will give eternal life to those who persist in doing what is good. Seek after the glory and the honor of the Lord that He has to offer. Those who insist on getting their own way and taking the path of least resistance will be dealt with. (Romans 2:5-9 Read the Message translation also.)
3. Apostles: this is a very significant time for you. There is a reestablishing and a realigning of the Apostles to unify and lay down their garments before the Lord. (Garments many times signify who we are, but also what we are carrying.) Some gatherings during this time will bring refreshing and will even revive the work of the Lord. In the unity, God will command the blessings, and in the midst of glorifying the Lord this will release great joy unspeakable full of glory. These glory gatherings will begin to set in order the rest of the leadership, and there will be a freedom and liberty in the midst of the people. (Mark 11:5-9, Psalm 133)
4. This is the time for serious temple cleansing. It is important that we don’t continue to go in circles concerning areas of sin in our life, but go where we can receive deliverance, prayer and receive truth with the anointing of God that it able to break off chains and fetters. We must be clear concerning the things that we have joined ourselves to. It’s time to clear our mind of the voice of the enemy trying to get us to believe that we can’t be delivered. Cry out and seek out deliverance because you have been bought with a price, and you are not your own. Apostles carry the anointing for deliverance and expounding upon truth in God’s word, this will further break down deceptive teaching and false doctrines. (1 Corinthians 6:15-19)
5. There is going to be a drawing of the unsaved into the camp of the Lord. We must allow them to receive the Love of Christ. Let our fellowship bring joy to them with genuine down to earth hospitality that will warm their hearts and make it easy for them to be a part of the redeemed. It’s time, Pastors and Leaders, to walk away from the ninety nine to get the one. There are those who have fallen through the cracks that would come back if anyone pursued them. Intercessors, pray that hearts would be mended and relationships transformed and touched by the very hand of God. (Luke 15:1-6)
6. I hear the Lord saying this is a time that is key for our own heart assessment and inventory. We must pray to know what is in our hearts. We must ask God to show us what has troubled our hearts. We must ask Him to heal us and gather us from the places that we have been scattered. Some of the experiences we have gone through have greatly affected us, and we must get resolve and become reconciled with God and man. I hear the Lord calling us to know what’s in our heart, and to allow the flow of worship to heal us, transform us and unify us. Right now, marriages are in great strain and the enemy is trying to divide and conquer but this is a time for reconciliation and resolve. In times of trouble a healthy marriage, brings strength, warmth, support with a love and appreciation for each other and the Lord who has covered us. (Psalms 25:17, Psalms 13:5, Psalms 27:14)
7. This scripture echoed in my spirit for several days: Matthew 11:12 “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violent take it by force.” There is so much revelation that has been taught concerning this scripture, but I want to capture and translate in the most simplest of terms of what I heard the Lord is saying concerning this month.
· John places before us an excellent example of ministry - How during the span of two years, the preaching and ministering of John had such an impact that the kingdom of God was expanded, and multitudes were brought into the kingdom in great number.
· In the same way that people prepared their hearts for the coming of the Lord. It is time to take our cities by storm. First in prayer, then in evangelism. (prayer evangelism). We must press into the kingdom and receive the life and the anointing that comes with that kind of zeal, energy, and violently pursue after the heart of God.
· Make an impact---exercise the rule of God, the reign of God, the righteousness of God, and the royalty of God. If this sounds strange to us, then we have forgotten that God is not slack concerning his promise as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all shall come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9) There is coming a radical people and even a radical youth movement who will not be complacent but seize the moment and much will be accomplished.
