1 Kings 18:41-45 “And Elijah= said unto Ahab,<= /span> Get thee up, eat and drink= ; for there is a sound= of abund= ance of rain.= 42 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink= . And Elijah= went up to the top of Carme= l; and he cast himself down<= /span> upon the earth,= and put his face<= /span> between his knees= , 43= And said to his serva= nt, Go up now, look<= /span> towar= d the sea.<= /span> And he went up, and looke= d, and said, There is nothi= ng. And he said, Go again= seven= times= . 44= And it came to pass at the seventh time,= that he said, Behold, there ariseth a littl= e cloud= out of the sea,<= /span> like a man's<= /span> hand.= And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab,<= /span> Prepar= e thy chariot, and get thee down<= /span>, that the rain<= /span> stop<= /span> thee not. 45 And it came to pass in the mean while= , that the heave= n was black= with cloud= s and wind,= and there was a great= rain<= /span>, and Ahab rode and went to Jezreel.”<= /o:p>

We are definitely in a time where we are hearing many voices and sounds. It is sometimes very difficult to decipher - throug= hout all the voices/words that are sounding in the land—the true word of t= he Lord. As I was in prayer, I received the scripture about the sound of the abundance of rain coming out = of the heavens. The Lord spoke t= o us in the word of the Lord for July 2010 about the time of an Open Heaven.

“For this is a time of visit= ation and a time of hearing and understanding; a time for making proper adjustmen= ts so that my purposes may be established, says the Lord. So stay before my presence in worship and in your time of quiet devotion, and I will reveal to you greater truths and ev= en revelations that will help you along your way. For in my presence, I will strengthen and encourage your heart.”

“Know that as this is a time= of an open heaven and a great awakening amongst my people—I will open your eyes so that you may see the most important things= in your life during this time. Will you unite and come together in prayer = and seek resolutions? Will you fight against the enemies of your day? Because, I have placed in you, the power to overcome.”<= /span> (taken from the Word of the Lord July 2010—www.carpenterstouch.org)

An open heaven experience can be when there is:

1= . An angelic visitation relating a direct word from God. Daniel 8:16

2= . A heavenly realm of God is opened up for an individual so that the purposes of God may be revealed and established. Ezekiel 1

3= . When the presence of God comes down upon a situation or a group of people waitin= g on God, a sound from Heaven. Acts 2 (Pentecost)

4= . To execute judgment upon the enemy. (The consuming of the Altar before the prophets of Baal) I Kings 18

There are many accounts given in the Bible= of God’s servants who were caught up into Heavenly realms so that they could witness= or receive revelation of things to come.

So= what is the Lord saying to us in the above rhema wor= d? Stay in His presence and prepare to see an Open Heaven because the Lord:

· Desires to reveal great truths, even revelation to help us as we progress from day to day---He knew that the Oil Spill would be going on and even more troubling things to come—notice He also says, “These things will not be resolved overnight.”

· Will strengthen and encourage us---they that know (in close relations= hip with) their God --will be strong and do great exploits.

· Will open our eyes to see----what are the most important things go= ing on in our lives right now.

In that same word the Lord asked of us:

· Will we unite? (pride and self-importance = is at the seat of disunity)

· Will we come together in prayer?

· Will we seek Him?—for resolution, resolve of the trouble that our nation is faced with.

· Will we fight?—the enemy of our day.<= o:p>

· 1 John 3:8 KJV=

“He that committeth = sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the<= /b> devil.”

§ = If destroying the works of the en= emy is the work of Christ in the earth---then the more become conformed to the = image of Jesus—we like Elijah must destroy the works of the devil.

§ = It’s time to fight---the greatest battle we will ever face will be the one that we face on our knees= .

So Elijah went up to the top of = Mount Carmel and cast himself down and put his face between His knees and positioned= himself in prayer. He sent out his servant to witness = the manifestation of God’s word. And upon the 7^th time, He saw= a cloud the size of a man’s hand. God’s hand converted man’s hand into God’s plan. (If God can get to us –He can get through us.)

T= he word in the Hebrew Qowl means voice, sound, noise, sound of an instrument, frivolity.

T= here are a lot of sounds, even sound bi= tes from the media, words of fear, but I hear the Lord saying cross over---pass over to the sounds that are coming out of the Hea= vens.

As we pray---we are going to see the Heaven come down in ways we have not yet se= en.

As we pray…a new sound is coming that will break the back of the enemy.

As we pray…we will smell the fragrance of the rains coming down out of heaven<= /b>.

As we pray…the cleansing rain—the early and the latter rain--- will begi= n to wash away the impurities.

As we pray—the God that answers by fire will be God (right in the midst of the waters).

As we pray—the abundance shall be released from wealthy places, hidden places, from treasures of darkness.

D= on’t get distracted by the dark clouds and wind, but look upon the great rain of God’s glory that is going to = fall upon His people so that the harvest can be established - a new preparation = of a new people in Christ Jesus, the glory rain and how to walk in it, that we m= ay be the manifested sons of God and carriers of His glory.<= /p>

I= t is in the midst of hearing--- the rain will come and it will be heavenly rain—even in the midst of the sounds of the enemy, the rains will fall from heaven. It smells like rain. It sounds like rain. It feels like rain, = and abundance is in the midst of it.
